THE RED CURTAIN PRESENTS
ANTHILL
A COMEDY PLAY ON MENTAL HEALTH
WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY
SWETANSHU BORA
DIRECTOR'S NOTE
All warfare is based on deception
How do we maintain our mental health with all the conflict around us? From road rage incidents, workplace stress, relationship troubles to the devastating war that is playing out as we helplessly watch on.
We can ignore it. And we do. We deceive ourselves. We brush it away somewhere the location of which only mental health practitioners seem to know of. Or the Instagram mental health guru who might suggest herbal tea as remedy.
But it never goes away. Worse, it always shows up. It makes us difficult, hard to work with, always at war … it makes us smaller.
The play is a “celebration” of the journey that we must take to better ourselves and be courageous enough to find and fight our demons, so we can live harmoniously with people, nature and animals.
